“The human body runs on electricity — but nobody teaches you how to recharge it!”
Rich Chi is an author, registered dietitian, certified personal trainer, diabetes care and education specialist, and yoga instructor. And this realization didn’t come to him in a classroom or textbook.
It came after a major crash at 19, when Rich – training for a mixed martial arts fight and supposedly at “peak fitness” – almost collapsed from exhaustion.
“I looked perfectly fit. Every test said I was healthy. But inside, I was completely drained and exhausted,” Rich remembers.
After what he calls a “holistic rehab” period, he was able to start feeling the bioelectricity or “electrici-chi” as he calls it, surge through his arms and legs. He also recalls experiencing a “wild kundalini” awakening that shot up his spine. He also started training with masters who could literally shoot electricity out of their hands.
Given all that, Rich Chi is ready to teach the world how to truly recharge into a new wellness consciousness.
What Standard Wellness Misses
Modern health advice usually focuses on diet and exercise. But Rich believes that without understanding the body’s natural energy systems, most routines miss the bigger picture.
At the heart of it is bioelectricity: the tiny currents that power your heartbeats, your brainwaves, and your muscles.
According to Rich, we all learn about the electricity in the body in school. But we then ignore all the circuits that were mapped out 3,000 years ago — before any modern research, technology, or even AI.
“If you don’t know how to work with that energy, you’re eventually going to burn out,” Rich explains. “Or just age quicker than you’re meant to.”
And burnout doesn’t always announce itself dramatically. Sometimes, it shows up quietly through constant tiredness, lack of motivation, or an inability to feel fully present.
“I brought myself back from the dead,” Rich says. “And I feel 10 times younger, 20 years later.”
Building Energy From the Ground Up
After his near-collapse, Rich started learning from experts in yoga, Chinese healing traditions, and energy practices. He realized that the missing link wasn’t just harder workouts or stricter diets.
It was understanding how to open up the body’s natural energy pathways.
“I spent years lifting weights, sprinting, stretching,” Rich says. “But no one taught me how to release trapped muscle tension that blocks energy flow.”
That discovery led to the creation of Rich’s Muscle Release System: a series of 5-10 minute daily routines that help decompress the spine, release deep-seated muscle tension, and boost natural flexibility and circulation.
No flexibility is required to start. And according to Rich, it’s one of the fastest ways people can begin feeling lighter, freer, and more energized. Sometimes for the first time in years!
Real-World Impact
Since introducing the Muscle Release System, Rich has seen incredible results with runners, athletes, and everyday clients.
At a recent wellness expo, Rich even helped four people who had battled sciatic nerve pain for years. After just one 5-minute session, they were able to find relief.
“All stretching does is yank on tight muscles. However, when you release years of muscle tension, you can get these kinds of accelerated results,” Rich assures.
“Everyone is chasing health & fitness,” he continues. “But while our muscles and spine are gradually tightening, it is slowing down and blocking blood, oxygen, nutrients.”
Most importantly, this tightness is blocking the bio electricity that keeps us alive and fully charged.
Small Shifts That Recharge Your Body
Inspired by Rich’s journey and coaching program, here are four simple ways to start recharging your own energy system:
- Release Muscle Tension Daily
Fifteen minutes of targeted release work can create massive shifts in flexibility and energy. - Prioritize Rest and Deep Breathing
Oxygen fuels energy. Deep, slow breathing and quality sleep recharge your system at the cellular level. - Move Consistently, Not Just Intensely
While getting your heart rate up daily is important, gentle, daily movements like walking, light stretching, or flowing exercises keep energy flowing without draining you. - Reframe Your Mindset
Self-talk matters. Replacing negative loops with encouraging thoughts can lift your emotional and physical energy more than you realize. “Everything starts in the mind,” Rich reminds.
The Bigger Mission
Rich’s broader coaching approach, called Recharging Wellness Coaching, isn’t just about workouts or meal plans. It’s about giving people a full toolkit to build daily habits that support long-term vitality.
Clients can receive up to:
- A personalized meal plan overseen by Rich himself
- A personalized fitness and Muscle Release System plan
- Weekly one-on-one calls for real coaching, not just check-ins
- Unlimited text support for ongoing motivation and encouragement
Rich also spells haelth differently — as a reminder that true wellness is about being whole in mind, body, spirit, and energy.
“It’s not just about looking good on the outside,” Rich says. “It’s about feeling alive and electric on the inside.”
Moving Forward
Rich is also building a community through planned retreats in the Smoky Mountains and Miami. These gatherings will combine clean eating, group exercise, muscle release practices, and lots of real human connection.
His “Encouragement Buddy Program” will help people find accountability to stay motivated long after the retreat ends.
“We aren’t meant to go through life alone,” Rich emphasizes. “Connection is part of the energy equation, too.”
It’s Time to Recharge
The human body is electric. And learning to recharge it—through tension release, breathwork, mindset shifts, movement, and real connection—could be the key to feeling energized, strong, and excited about life again.
As Rich says, “Smarter, Not Harder. And Don’t Just Sit There, Recharge!”
His book, Get Recharged Now: Have More Energy with the Secrets to Longevity, is available for anyone ready to start building true haelth, one energized day at a time.
