“Saboteurs Slinking in the Shadows” premieres this fall, a psychological true-crime ‘edutainment’ podcast for entrepreneurs, creators, and business owners who are done sabotaging their success.
Success isn’t just about talent or hard work. It’s about getting out of your way. And yet, so many entrepreneurs, creators, and business owners unknowingly undermine their own goals with mental patterns that whisper, push, guilt, and distract.
With a name becoming synonymous with compassionate disruption, self-command, and sustainable success, Kris Driskill is an award-winning self-mastery coach and business strategist, helping people break free from limiting beliefs and achieve success with a lighthearted approach and ease. And she’s currently on a mission to expose the inner saboteurs behind those patterns in her groundbreaking new podcast, Saboteurs Slinking in the Shadows.
This isn’t your average personal development show. Styled like a true-crime parody with theatrical flair and psychological depth, Saboteurs Slinking in the Shadows invites entrepreneurs, creators, and business owners into a relatable world where unsuspected self-sabotage becomes the case file, and your inner critic might just be the prime suspect.
The show’s primary platform will be YouTube, with full video episodes and immersive storytelling designed to be watched, not just heard.
A Cult-Classic in the Making
“Transformation work doesn’t have to be heavy and serious,” Driskill explains. “This is coaching meets dramatic comedy series: a true-crime-style ‘whodunit’ where your own inner saboteurs are wreaking havoc behind the scenes.”
Each episode begins in the current location of the guest but quickly moves to Amygdaland, a “nearby” fictional town named after the amygdala, the brain’s emotional epicenter. Entrepreneurs, creators, and business owners bring real-life struggles to the show, and Driskill, acting as host and sleuth, investigates the root cause through character-driven analysis, storytelling, and psychological insight.
Guests are leaders in their industries, graciously stepping into the spotlight. Viewers can expect quick-paced wit, insight, and moments of recognition that are as transformative as they are entertaining.
Who’s Really Running the Show?
Most high-performers blame things like burnout, perfectionism, or procrastination on external forces, such as deadlines, the economy, or competition. But Driskill knows better.
“The real culprit isn’t out there – it’s an inside job. And it’s sneaky. Most people don’t even realize it’s happening,” she explains. “If you had asked me years ago if I was self-sabotaging, I would have laughed and said no. But that’s exactly what I was doing. This is life-changing work.”
Driskill has personally served, trained, and empowered over 1,600 entrepreneurs and creatives worldwide under the premise that success starts from within. Backed by the research of Positive Intelligence®, her doctoral research in performance anxiety, and her certification in social-emotional arts from UCLA’s Department of Integrative Medicine, she helps her clients navigate the beliefs and behaviors that secretly undermine success.
Meet the Saboteur Squad
Driskill was inspired to take the 10 saboteur archetypes found in her work as a Positive Intelligence® coach and bring them to life as quirky, named characters. In the world of Saboteurs Slinking in the Shadows, self-sabotage takes the form of colorful characters known as the Saboteur Squad:
M.A.R.T.Y. (Makes Awful Remarks To You) – The Judge Saboteur, constantly criticizing and keeping you in a cycle of stress.
C.I.N.D.Y. (Conflict Is Not Doable Y’All) – The Avoider Saboteur, dodging discomfort and keeping things “zen” by avoiding important tasks and tough conversations.
C.A.R.O.L. (Controls All Realms of Life) – The Controller Saboteur, who needs to be in charge at all times and finds vulnerability a challenge.
S.I.M.O.N. (Success Is My Only Need) – The Hyper-Achiever Saboteur, tying self-worth to achievement and never feeling satisfied with success.
A.R.T.Y. (Always Right Thank You) – The Hyper-Rational Saboteur, who dismisses emotions as distractions and prioritizes logic.
L.O.I.S. (Look Out I’m Screwed) – The Hyper-Vigilant Saboteur, constantly projecting worry, scanning for danger, and expecting the worst.
K.E.N. (Keeps Everything Nice) – The Pleaser Saboteur, who overgives to others while neglecting their own needs and seeking external validation.
S.I.A. (Stays In Action) – The Restless Saboteur, always chasing the next big thing but struggling to build consistency or follow through.
P.I.T.A. (Perfection Is The Answer) – The Stickler Saboteur, obsessed with flawlessness and struggling with anything that isn’t “just right.”
M.A.R.I.A. (Misunderstood And Righteously Into Anti-Responsibility) – The Victim Saboteur, dwelling in feelings of unfairness and blame while waiting to be rescued.
And when the Saboteur Squad keeps running the show? B.O.B. (Business Owner Burnout) shows up – uninvited, unshowered, and unrelenting.
A True Crime Twist on Transformation
With high production value, creative edits, and theatrical wit, the show is designed to feel like a visual investigation. Each episode unpacks a real internal struggle and reveals which saboteur is pulling the strings. Clues, evidence boards, character cutaways, and narrative twists keep viewers engaged to the end.
Sponsorship opportunities are just as clever, with a brand’s audience-relevant product being woven into the story. This immersive narrative structure offers unique branded content partnerships, making the show a standout in the podcast and YouTube space.
Who Should Watch?
- Entrepreneurs who feel stressed or pressured and want to take back their time, joy, and inner authority
- Creators and business owners navigating burnout, perfectionism, or impostor syndrome
- Anyone who wants to feel less alone in their business-building journey, gain valuable insight from the experience of others, and be entertained at the same time
“We don’t do shame here. That’s just another form of sabotage,” Driskill says. “This work is about compassion, curiosity, and calling the right voice to the stand. When we learn to hear our inner saboteurs clearly, they lose their power, and we can get back to being the ones running the show.”
Saboteurs Slinking in the Shadows premieres this fall on YouTube, with audio versions available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and all major platforms.
