One of the leading voices at “Your Trauma Talks” is Rahul K. Maharaj, the visionary founder of “Your Life Experiences with Rah,” not forgetting “Your Trauma Talks” For over six years, Rah has been a relentless advocate for mental health, using his platform to break down barriers and foster understanding. His passion for this cause is evident in his literary works, including the acclaimed books “Untold Stories Hidden Truths” and “Inspired by True Events for Children as well as Adults: Mellie and the Pandemic.”

Rah’s writings delve into the complexities of human emotions, offering solace and guidance to those navigating the tumultuous waters of mental health challenges, allowing others to know, “You are not Alone.” Rah is an author and a motivational speaker who advocates for mental health. His abstract “Falling while Rising,” his trauma motivational talk, was chosen last year to be presented at King’s College London.

Rah was also an honorary guest speaker in Guyana for Suicide Awareness Month in 2022, with great motivational speakers like Brettney Perr from Los Angeles, who is no stranger to sharing her trauma stories, especially on our platform. Brettney Perr is Rah’s Co-host on his groundbreaking podcast “Trauma Talk Thursdays. Another Close speaker to Rah’s heart is Yanick Séïde from Canada, whom he met in Paris while he gave his talk “Alzheimer’s and the mental place it sends loved ones into.” Yanick Séïde is coming to speak in person in NYC at this event; Rah believes even more that this gathering will be mind-blowing as the other speakers will bring the energy in their unique way.

Rah’s belief is simple yet profound: change is difficult but essential. “Just as death is inevitable, so is Change because you have been changing from a child.” He understands the mental stress that change can impose on your daily lives. “Every day, mental health is manageable,” Rah asserts. “Because only you can do it for you. Just as the first time you fell, you had to do one thing: get up. In life, no matter what, you have to keep going. One of the major ways to keep going is to love yourself and believe in yourself.” Rah uses a powerful saying in his talks and podcast “Trauma Talk Thursdays.” he says, “What is meant for you shall never pass you by, and what passes you by was never meant for you. Just as there was a man who had the blues because he had no shoes, he met a man with no feet down the street.”

This conference is not just a series of talks; it’s an invitation to embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen, learn, and adapt strategies that can make their days brighter and their lives more fulfilling. It’s a chance to understand the roller coaster ride called “life” and to equip oneself with the tools needed to navigate its ups and downs. Light refreshments will be served throughout the day. Ticket holders will have a chance to win many prizes which includes a $200.00 VISA Gift card.
