Volodymyr Kachmar, a dentist with 12 years of experience in aesthetic dentistry, owner of two premium clinics in Prague, winner of the prestigious M.Vision Academy competition and the reality show Bitva o krasu, currently continuing his professional development at TUFTS Medical University in Boston, assures that creating the ideal smile is a true art. The combination of European aesthetic school with innovative American technologies allows him to bring the boldest projects to life, where the dentist acts not just as a doctor, but as a true artist.

Masculine and feminine designs have their unique characteristics that go far beyond simple tooth shape. A masculine smile is characterized by a more rectangular shape with pronounced angles of about 85-90 degrees, creating a sense of strength and confidence. The surface texture of the teeth is more pronounced, with fine vertical lines that add character and depth. The length-to-width ratio is approximately 1:0.85, and the central incisors are usually more dominant, creating a bold and confident appearance. “The color palette of a masculine smile is a special art,” says Volodymyr. “We strive to achieve warm natural shades, avoiding overly bright or artificial white tones.”

A feminine smile is distinguished by softer, oval shapes with angles of 60-75 degrees, creating a more refined appearance. The surface of the teeth is smoother, with more pronounced edge transparency that creates a natural glow. The length-to-width ratio is 1:0.75, giving the smile greater refinement and elegance. The transitions between teeth are more gradual, and the lateral incisors are slightly more prominent, contributing to a softer, more harmonious appearance. Such smiles often include brighter shades, while always maintaining natural transparency at the edges.

In our clinics, the process of creating the ideal smile begins with detailed planning that includes several stages. First, we conduct a comprehensive professional photo session that allows us to analyze all facial features, including symmetry, lip line, and smile dynamics. These photos are taken from different angles and with different facial expressions to capture every aspect of the patient’s smile. Then we use Digital Smile Design (DSD), which allows us to visualize the future result and make precise measurements for optimal aesthetic proportions.

An important step is 3D scanning and digital modeling, which ensure maximum precision when creating a new smile. Our advanced scanning technology captures every detail of the oral cavity, ensuring unprecedented accuracy in design and fabrication. Then we use modern software to create a virtual model of the proposed smile, which can be adjusted in real-time during consultation with the patient.

Modern technologies and materials allow us to create smiles that not only meet aesthetic standards but also emphasize each person’s individuality. We use high-quality ceramic materials that mimic the structure of natural teeth, including their layered composition and light-transmitting properties.

The success of smile design lies in the details – subtle nuances of shape, texture, and color that combine to create a result that looks completely natural while enhancing the patient’s features. Volodymyr Kachmar emphasizes: “Regardless of whether a smile has a masculine or feminine character, each one is uniquely adapted to complement and enhance the natural features and personality of the individual.”
