The financial part of healthcare is quite stressful and often extends far beyond patient care. Healthcare providers often face frustrations such as errors in billing, complex regulations, and delayed reimbursements, all of which can affect their cash flow and time spent with patients. Rachelle Desrosiers, founder of Madrelle, is working to give healthcare providers the freedom to focus on their patients without the piles of paperwork often associated with their jobs.

Desrosiers is no stranger to challenges. In 2008, amidst one of the worst economic downturns, she found herself at a crossroads. Working part-time at a private medical practice while balancing a role as a mortgage broker, she was left without options when the brokerage company she worked for shuttered its doors. Instead of being shattered, she launched Madrelle, a company born from cold-calling local practices listed in the Yellow Pages.

What began as a humble venture has now blossomed into a 15-year-old business that specializes in simplifying medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle management (RCM), addressing the frequent frustrations of medical professionals who struggle with inconsistent billing practices, constant coding updates, and time-consuming administrative tasks. Madrelle provides these services for private practices nationwide, allowing healthcare providers to shift their focus back to patient care.

Through Madrelle, Desrosiers addresses the fears healthcare providers face, such as missing out on reimbursements due to non-compliance, audits, penalties for incorrect billing, and financial instability caused by delayed payments. Madrelle’s integrated systems help mitigate these risks by offering seamless interoperability between Electronic Health Records (EHR) and billing systems, ensuring that healthcare providers can keep up with regulatory changes in areas like MACRA and MIPS reporting.

Desrosiers’ journey to entrepreneurship was built on resilience, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to seeing others succeed. Through baby steps and determination, She rose to leadership, mastering the art of helping medical providers streamline their financial processes. Madrelle’s services are far from transactional. With a hands-on approach, the company works closely with clients to address root problems, helping practices implement automated workflows that reduce the administrative burden and improve efficiency in areas like claim accuracy and reimbursement predictability.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Desrosiers’ career has been the growth of her team. However, building that team was no easy feat. Initially, she underestimated the complexity of hiring and managing employees. Realizing her missteps, she invested in her own development as a leader, taking courses and reshaping her approach to team management. This personal growth was crucial not just for her business but also for the team members who rely on her guidance.

Desrosiers has also learned to deeply appreciate the value that her team brings to the table. She believes that a successful business is built on the strengths of its people. Now, she places a strong emphasis on empowering her employees and developing a culture where everyone is encouraged to grow and excel. A key lesson she carries forward is the importance of remaining steadfast in her vision. Every partnership and opportunity is meticulously evaluated, ensuring that it aligns with the core values of Madrelle’s foundation and its continued success.

Desrosiers envisions Madrelle emerging as an industry leader in the long run. In the next five years, she plans to introduce more advanced systems in the company that will simplify the tasks of healthcare providers and also fast-track many processes. With Madrelle, Desrosiers is on a mission to help private practices thrive, exceeding their financial goals and rising above their limitations.

With her in-depth knowledge of medical billing and keen focus on client success, Rachelle Desrosiers is not just offering services to the healthcare industry with Madrelle but also providing a lifeline to healthcare providers. By addressing the industry’s frustrations and fears and fulfilling desires for accuracy, faster processes, and reduced administrative burden, healthcare providers can now dedicate more time and attention to caring for their patients while Madrelle takes care of the rest.
