For Sorel Roget, real estate isn’t just a career—it’s a passion rooted in people and relationships. Since beginning her journey in 2014, she has built a thriving business in New York City, driven by a genuine desire to help others. Her approach has led to a business that largely thrives on word-of-mouth referrals and personal recommendations, highlighting the trust and confidence she has cultivated over the years.
Sorel’s clients often describe her as more than a real estate agent—they see her as a partner, an advocate, and even a friend. Her ability to connect on a personal level stems from her genuine curiosity and her talent for genuinely listening. “I love digging deep to uncover what my clients truly need,” she says. “Sometimes it’s about asking questions they haven’t even thought of yet.” One client remarked, “Sorel is as invested in the search as the buyer. She knows it’s not a success unless they are genuinely happy with their decision, so she’s in it for the long-term.” This collaborative approach has led many clients to confidently recommend her to friends and family, trusting that she will offer a high level of care and attention.
Sorel’s path to real estate is as unique as her method. Her career began in hospitality and corporate leadership, where she developed exceptional business acumen. With an MBA from the esteemed École hôtelière de Lausanne, she climbed the ranks at Starwood Hotels, managing revenue systems across Asia-Pacific and joining the executive team that launched the W Hotel Hong Kong. Later, as Director of Sales and Marketing for an entertainment company, she negotiated two of the company’s most significant deals. Her international career across five countries and 75 destinations helped her develop strategic expertise, competitive market analysis skills, and an appreciation for cultural diversity—all valuable assets in her real estate practice.
Her first personal real estate transaction—selling her mother’s home after her passing—was a profoundly formative experience. It gave her insight into the emotional side of real estate and instilled a profound sense of compassion for clients navigating major life transitions. “Real estate is about more than numbers,” she explains. “It’s about helping people through transitions with clarity, understanding, and empathy.”
Today, Sorel is recognized for her ability to navigate New York City’s intricate market, from co-op board applications to curating seamless buying and selling experiences. Her commitment to precision and dedication has established her as a reliable resource among her peers and clients. Her financial expertise and attention to detail contribute to smoother transactions and positive outcomes.
For Sorel, success isn’t measured by sales volume or awards, though she has received recognition in her field. Instead, she prioritizes the network of trust she has worked hard to build. “I love working with good people, no matter the price point,” she says. Her integrity, patience, and results-driven approach often turn satisfied clients into loyal advocates. One client’s referral alone led to five additional clients, four of whom purchased homes and passed along her name. “That’s a meaningful compliment,” she shares. “It shows my work resonates personally as well as professionally.”
Sorel’s role as a Certified Professional Coach adds another dimension to her service. She guides clients through significant life transitions—whether moving, career changes, or other milestones—offering strategies and support that extend beyond real estate. Her ability to empathize and provide actionable insights helps clients feel supported and understood.
When she’s not working, Sorel enjoys her passion for wine and cocktails as a certified sommelier or spending time with her family in California. No matter where she is, her focus remains on helping clients navigate their next chapter with confidence and care.
