Imagine an app where social media meets productivity.

That’s the concept of IRON — a potentially transformative social habit-tracking app designed to help users build better lives.

Built by entrepreneur and visionary Matt Shields, IRON aims to inspire confidence through community and accountability. He describes it as this:

“A social media platform where people help each other feel and be better.”

The Vision Behind IRON

Matt’s new project, IRON, is a social habit-tracking app designed to promote accountability and confidence.

The app combines social media and productivity, allowing users to track their habits alongside friends. Users can set goals, monitor progress, and support each other in building positive behaviors or breaking negative ones.

Matt explains it as “Instagram meets productivity.”

The difference?

IRON is designed to encourage users to build each other up, potentially reducing the toxic mindset of comparison and jealousy that often occurs on traditional social media platforms.

The core mission of IRON is to inspire confidence and help users work toward becoming the best versions of themselves. The vision extends beyond personal growth. Matt hopes to impact one billion lives by fostering self-discipline and positive change.

Addressing an Ancient Problem

IRON is rooted in a fundamental human struggle: the difficulty of doing what we know is right. Matt references a passage from the Bible, where Paul expresses frustration about failing to act on his intentions. “This is an ancient spiritual problem that we are attempting to address with a modern technological solution,” Matt says.

IRON aims to help users honor their commitments to themselves.

Matt also sees faith as a potential integral part of the app’s philosophy. He believes that self-improvement and spiritual growth can go hand in hand. IRON, therefore, is positioned as more than just a habit tracker; it’s a tool for holistic personal development.

A New Era of Accountability

The app’s emphasis on social interaction distinguishes it from traditional habit-tracking tools. By integrating a community-driven approach, IRON seeks to leverage peer accountability to keep users engaged. This feature is particularly important in today’s digital age, where social platforms often contribute to mental health challenges.

IRON aspires to shift that narrative by using social connections for positive reinforcement.

While IRON is not yet live, it has undergone beta testing and is expected to launch later this year. As anticipation builds, Matt remains focused on his goal of providing users with a simple, effective way to improve their lives.

A Journey Built on Persistence

Matt has built his success through dedication and relentless effort. By the age of 19, he had already established four six-figure agencies, generating over $200,000 in sales within two years. His journey has been defined by perseverance, learning, and strategic networking.

His early business ventures were not without challenges. He made no money during his first four months and considered giving up multiple times. However, he remained committed, putting in long hours and refining his skills.

Matt’s breakthrough came when he started working with major fitness brands such as 9Round, Snap Fitness, Fit Body Boot Camp, F45, and Crunch Fitness. He attributes his success to learning from those already in the positions he aspired to reach.

Reflecting on his experience, he emphasizes the importance of focusing on results.

“If you truly focus on getting your clients amazing results, everything else tends to become easier,” he says. “Selling is easy when you are confident in your service.”

Looking Ahead

Matt’s long-term vision extends beyond business success. He is passionate about helping people overcome struggles with anxiety and depression.

“Life’s too short to struggle the whole time,” he says. “Once I feel I’ve cracked the code, I want to share it with as many people as possible.”

With IRON, Matt Shields is not just launching another app—he is hoping to create a movement aimed at self-improvement, accountability, and personal growth.

As the app prepares for its official release, it could potentially change how people approach their goals, habits, and daily lives.
