Toronto, ON — Ghost Kitchens International (GKI), formerly known as Ghost Kitchen Brands, is redefining the dining experience with its innovative approach to food service. Under the visionary leadership of Founder George Kottas, GKI is expanding its footprint globally, introducing a subsidiary in Europe, and forming a groundbreaking partnership with a major retail corporation. This expansion is set to transform the landscape of ghost kitchens and bring unparalleled convenience to customers worldwide.

George Kottas, the pioneering force behind the ghost kitchen concept, has been instrumental in shaping the industry. His introduction of the first ghost kitchen has set the stage for GKI’s current international expansion. This growth includes the launch of Ghost Kitchen Europe (GK EU), headquartered in Athens, Greece. With Demetrios Mallios as CEO, GK EU is poised to open new units in Athens and establish partnerships across various European countries.

Building on the success of its Area Representative Program launched last year, GKI has seen rapid adoption across the US and Canada, with significant market penetration. New US locations have recently opened in Dawsonville and Peachtree, Georgia, with additional sites in Rockford, Illinois, and several Canadian locations including Montreal, Quebec, and Burlington, Ontario. Further developments are underway in various US cities, reflecting GKI’s robust expansion strategy.

In a groundbreaking collaboration with Walmart, GKI has been opening locations inside Walmart Superstores across the US and Canada. The Canadian branch has also partnered with GKI to innovate their fresh prepared food offerings, including Grab & Go, ready-to-eat, ready-to-heat, and fresh pizza options.

GKI is at the forefront of integrating technology into the dining experience. The new Dawsonville location features “Adam the Robot Barista” from RichTech Robotics, who prepares coffee and beverages for customers. Future plans include additional robotic innovations to enhance service in select locations, highlighting GKI’s commitment to revolutionizing the dining experience through technology.

GKI’s business model is built on the concept of multi-brand food courts, operating under names like Ghost Kitchens, One Kitchen, and Babaz Halal Cuisines. This model allows customers to choose from a wide array of national, regional, and local brands in one visit or delivery. Orders can be placed via a mobile app, online, or from onsite kiosks, with options for takeout, pickup, or delivery. This flexibility provides unparalleled convenience and variety, catering to both walk-in and delivery customers.

GKI has ambitious plans for further expansion. At least 30 new franchised locations are scheduled to open in the US in 2024, with opportunities still available in select US markets and franchise units in various cities and states. This will give the company a distribution network to ensure a wide reach and accessibility.

Ghost Kitchens International (GKI) is a pioneer in the ghost kitchen industry, offering a unique business model that combines multiple brands in one kitchen for maximum convenience. Founded by George Kottas, GKI operates a mix of national, regional, and local brands, providing customers with a diverse array of dining options. With a focus on walk-in and delivery customers, GKI is committed to redefining the dining experience through technology and innovation. For more information, visit Ghost Kitchens International.
