Disney World has finally unveiled the highly anticipated Tron Lightcycle Run Roller Coaster and fans are going wild for this amazing new attraction.

After the release of Joseph Kosinski’s 2010 blockbuster Tron: Legacy, the Tron franchise even gave birth to a short-lived TV series that was produced for one season between 2012 and 2013. The franchise first debuted in 1982 with Steven Lisberger’s feature film.

Tron Ride
Now that Jared Leto is working to bring the third Tron movie to the big screen, the Tron franchise is more popular than ever.
Located next to Space Mountain inside Disney World’s Tomorrowland section, Tron Lightcycle Run was made by Vekoma, a Dutch company that has previously partnered with Disney on several roller coasters, including Animal Kingdom’s Expedition Everest and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coasters at Disney parks around the world.

Franchise
